National Colloquium
Continuing with its endeavor to provide Corporate Synergism, Global Business Operations, organized two mega events this academic year. The first, National colloquium was held on 19th December 2006 at India Habitat Centre, with its theme as "Indian Economy: The Way Ahead". Mr. Arun Jaitley gave the inaugural address, and Mr. Sriram delivered the welcome address to MR Rahul Bajaj who was the keynote speaker for this year. He held the students engaged by discussing the changing phases of business, with the changes in the Indian Economy. The students also had the privilege to listen to Mr. Kirit Parikh, Member Planning Commission, Mr. Ramesh Damani, renowned investment guru, Ms Tarini Vaidya, country treasurer Centurion Bank Of Punjab. Mr. DK Beri, Corporate affairs Indian Hotels Ltd, Mr. Ram Sarvapalli, Managing partner Ernst and Young also interacted with the students, who were enriched by listening to erudites from all sectors of the economy under one roof. The colloquium exposed students to the various components that integrate with each other in surging the economy ahead, and they were motivated to realize how their actions in their organizations would have a macro impact on the country.


Annual Day
The former President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam graced the college with his presence on the Annual day held on 19th March 2007. He urged the students to take up to the cause of upgrading India to the Super League of Global powers. With those golden words backed by his sea experience, he mesmerized the students, leaving an example for all of them to carve a niche for themselves. Stating SRCC as an epitome for the quality education, he lauded the faculty and student for maintaining the tradition of excellence.


HR Summit
The Institute organized its annual HR summit at The India Habitat Center, New Delhi on 1st September 2007.The theme for the event was " New Vistas & Challenges" in the field of HR for the coming century.

The event kicked off at 10 A.M when Dr. B.P. Singh inaugurated the event and ran until 5.30 P.M. For Seven & a half hours the Convention Hall was transformed into a virtual battlefield with intense brainstorming, intellectual exchange n of course enlightenment! The heat was evident. No wonder the students were sweating in air-conditioned hall!! The students shot a volley of questions but the industry personnel being seasoned warriors, quenched the students' thirst with their wise answers.

The event was divided into two technical sessions. The first session was centered on the hottest burning topic of HR today "HR Outsourcing". The dais was studded with the following stars that were Heads of their respective HR Departments.

Well as the topic suggested, the event exhibited! Diversity management was surely evident with Industry Personnel from Pharmaceuticals, BPO, Hotels, Real estate, automobile, market intelligence, consultancy & various other sectors. This was an excellent knowledge-sharing platform for the students of GBO.
